Capacitor Technology & Resources

Capacitor technology is constantly progressing as new materials and manufacturing processes evolve and as customer applications are developed. We are constantly involved in making the best use of these new technologies to offer new, improved, and lower-cost capacitor products.

Cases - We have worked closely with our customers to develop custom cases and housings made of high temperature plastics. We have developed cases that snap directly into motor housings and eliminate the need for additional mounting brackets.

Epoxies - We have developed new, high-strength, high-temperature epoxy that will resist cracking at short-term temperatures in excess of +150°C. Of course, the capacitor’s operating temperature rating must never be exceeded.

Protection – We offer segmented, metallized film versions of many of our capacitor styles that are P2 Protected to 10,000 AFC. Segmented metallized film offers an additional level of safety in operation.

High-Temperature – We are developing many of our dry-film capacitors in +105°C versions, in addition to our standard +85°C type.
